5 Helpful Tips for Prioritizing Work Online

As an online entrepreneur with full time day job, there were times when I get caught up with piles of work to be done. I was also faced with many ideas and opportunities which got me overwhelmed and pulled me away from what I should be focusing on, until I realized that I need to start prioritizing. Ever since i started prioritizing, I was able to know which tasks are critical to finish first and focus more on. By then, I knew how to manage my time and tasks get accomplished as planned.

Just like me, whether you are working full time or part time in your online endeavor, you all need to know the significance of prioritizing your work.

Prioritizing – Tips You Should Know

Below are the 5 tips to best learn on prioritizing. And you will learn that by it, you will have more free time to do other things.

Prioritizing Tip #1: Strategy

Have a strategy. There are so many ways to earn online and there are so many strategies you can use to keep you going with your goals. Having the right strategy keeps you away from distractions and helps you keep focused on things that need to be accomplished.

Prioritizing Tip #2: Goals

Set your goals. Ask yourself which things you are trying to achieve in the end. By having goals, you know which tasks to be done and you keep track of the completion. In my case, my goal this time is to populate my blog with posts, so what I do is write new posts everyday on my blog because this way I could get more leads. Our goal is our pathway to success.

Prioritizing Tip #3: Task List

Once you have determined your goals, you now have the idea of the things you need to do in order to achieve those goals. List it so that you will never forget it. List them according to their importance, and work on the most important task. So how do you determine if a task is important? By how much money it can make you in the short run or long run :)

Prioritizing Tip #4: Time

Schedule time on each tasks. Determine how long approximately you need for each of those to be done. This way, you will know if you have spent more time on one task than you should be in a way that you forgot to do other important tasks.

Prioritizing Tip #5: Organization

Get organized. I have been to a point where I find it quite difficult to keep organized due to the overwhelming information I receive and the number of things that I need to do. I didn’t know what to do first which in the end became a mess. It is very important to be organized in tracking income and expenses, inbox messages, and even the physical look of your work office.

You will see, once you know prioritizing things according to their importance, the road to success will be more smooth and easier.

  1. Hi Luke,

    “Schedule time on each tasks.”

Excellent. Time your task. Drop everything when the alarm goes off. Why? This dissolves attachment to outcomes, or any single act, which moves you into more efficient acts.

Avoid getting caught up in 1 task. All are important. Treat everything as important but detach from acts by using an alarm, and you become successful super quickly.

  2. Hey Luke,
    Awesome tips here my friend.
Have a plan, know what is most important to finish that day and do it. Agree with the organizing stuff..starting from paper, your mind and the work office..so important to be everything clean.
Regarding goals I created little notes with the most important task I need to complete in 2012. The more you read them the better they get stuck in your subconscious until the manifestation becomes naturally.

Thanks for sharing. Keep up blogging for leads and business success. You can do it!

  3. Ironically, I should have used your picture in the post I am favoriting! I wrote this a few days ago. This is a hot topic—time is spent, then it is gone. My article came up with the conclusion that the old fashioned pen and paper to do list was better than any computer app!

One could easily work 24 hours a day just online. Scheduling for top priorities is absolutely imperative if one wishes to get anything done. Thanks for the insight!
